Hi, I’m Beaté Schönborn. I’m a Vancouver-based videographer and photographer.

My journey started in high school, fuelled by a fascination with music videos and the raw energy of the arts. That early spark turned into a real love for storytelling—not just capturing what a moment looks like, but how it actually feels.

With a background in film studies and years of hands-on experience, my work covers everything from high-energy events and portraits to analog film and brand campaigns. Regardless of the project, my approach stays the same: I value the real over the perfect. I’m drawn to the "verité" side of things—the unscripted emotions and the human connections that happen when you just let a moment unfold. I’ve realized I’m much less interested in staged setups and more focused on the truth of the experience.

Whether I’m documenting a live performance or building a brand story, my goal is to create visuals that are intentional, moving, and above all, real.
